What are STI threads?
"STI" stands for Screw Thread Insert. They're oversized internal threads designed to receive an
insert like a Heli-Coil. Our screws match that size externally. Our S.T.I. fasteners
allow you to make the part directly to drawing specs. No need to put in an
undersized thread, creating extra set ups. No need to machine the same hole
twice.
Why not just do it myself?
Although a simple part, it can be very time consuming for a shop to drop what they are doing and make these. We price these to be more efficient than doing it yourself, so you can get back to parts that pay.
